the more dynamic poses which are designed to increase strength,
flexibility, balance, and energy. Deep synchronized breathing is

The back is like the trunk of a tree, if you keep it strong and flexible it can weather any storm. Many aspects of Yoga make it ideal for treating Chronic Back Pain. A large variety of poses and movements were developed and perfected over thousands of years of Yoga history to help
align, heal, and strengthen the back and spine specifically. This therapeutic Yoga class stretches the back muscles releasing the vertical pressure on the back bones allowing more nutrients to reach the disks to help them heal. You need to be conscious of and to take
care of your back all your life and Yoga is designed to help you do that in the safest most therapeutic manner possible.

ABOUT AVANANDA
Avananda began her practice of Yoga in the 1970s in New York City. Thirty years later Avananda is still teaching Yoga, still seeking
to expand her knowledge of life.
Ava began teaching Yoga in Manhattan in 1974 Studying with Dr Abel Hernandez renowned Yoga instructor.
After receiving her Degree Avananda moved South for warmer shores to Miami Beach where she taught for Jack La Lanne at his
large Miami Health Club. Also Ava was the Resident Yoga Instructor at the prestigious Turnberry Resort.
In 1989 Ava relocated to the island of Maui in Hawaii to get away from city life and devote herself full time to the practice of and teaching of yoga.
Avananda is a Registered Yoga Teacher by Yoga Alliance at RYT E-T-500 CERTIFIED this is the highest level of accreditation availablemeaing she can train other instructors.
With her 38 plus years of yoga teaching along with her education and life experience Avananda has perfected her Yoga style and teaching technique.
Avananda's yoga classes are held in high regard among Yoga teachers and her students on Maui, Florida, New York, and around the world.
